Noosha Uddin

Hello! I am a Ph.D candidate in political science at University of California, Santa Barbara. My research interests include labor migration, citizenship, and energy politics in the Persian Gulf, and my dissertation research examines what drives substantial reform of the kafala guest worker-sponsorship system at the community, state, and international levels of migration governance. I am also a member of the Energy Governance and Political Economy Lab at UCSB as part of the institution’s 2035 Initiative, and an adjunct researcher at the RAND Corporation. Prior to UCSB I studied political science and economics at UMass Amherst.

You can reach me at my email, noosha@ucsb.edu, or on Twitter. Here are my CV, my publications, books I’ve read, and some photos I’ve taken throughout the years.
